Abstract

Study was conducted in three orchards pomegranate different area، in the district of Muqdadiya Diyala province between 2010-2011 aimed to identify the best height for laid traps on trees، pomegranates، with assessed three types of traps containing attractant sexual for use in monitoring and hunting males، the study of existence seasonal fly Mediterranean Ceratitis capitata، it became clear that the pest six generations per year، and the highest intensity recorded was in the middle of the month of September amounted to (45) Male / trap / week، and the best high to put traps on trees pomegranate was at an altitude of 180 cm from the surface of the earth، who scored number rate (23.3) Male / trap / week، and the statistical analysis to the absence of significant differences between the three types of traps (trap Jackson، trap Tphri، local trap) to attract male
