Abstract

This study was conducted at the laboratory of plant tissue and Cell Culture, Department of Horticulture and Landscape Design, College of Agriculture and Forestry , Mosul University. Apical tips and nodes cuttings sterilized with NaOCl and cultured in MS medium supplemented with kinetin (0,2,4,6,8 and 10 mg/ l), after 6 weeks, the best response appeared when the apical tips were cultured in MS media supplemented with 4 or 6 mg/l kinetin , which gave 100% percent, however 8 mg/l kinetin increased shoot number from apical tip(2 shoots) whereas 4 mg/l increased stoot length from nodes cutting, Apical tip cultured in MS medium supplemented with 2 mg/l BA with six concentrations of IBA+GA3 (0+0 ,0.1+0.1,0.3+0.3,0.5+0.5, 0.3+1,0.1+2 and 0.5+2) mg/l respectively , the result showed that 0.5 mg/l IBA+2 mg/l GA3 , increased shoots length and reduce shoots number.
